Presidio Graduate School is a learning community dedicated to developing business and civic leaders with the competencies and courage to implement their ideas for creating a sustainable future. Driven by this mission, Presidio has become a successful and innovative graduate school transforming how students and graduates think critically about, and apply solutions to, the world’s most pressing and rapidly evolving global challenges.
Founded in 1993, the School is grounded in pragmatic concepts that integrate systems thinking and sustainability throughout all programs. In August 2003, Presidio launched the MBA in Sustainable Management degree program through its affiliation with Alliant International University. Through this affiliation, Presidio is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
Heralded as a pioneer, Presidio offers a range of degree programs including an MBA, MPA and dual MBA/MPA in Sustainable Management. Presidio also educates senior-level professionals through our Executive Education. Presidio has generated a noteworthy level of achievement in a short time period: attracting stellar faculty, launching new programs, and growing from an initial class of 22 students to enrolling or graduating nearly 650 diverse, accomplished students.
Our future includes the development of a range of new programs within an integrated campus located in the Presidio, San Francisco. With a vision to operate as a global destination for sustainable management, Presidio will have the capacity to foster strategic growth opportunities in program development, innovative education delivery, faculty recruiting and development, and educational partnerships.
As the key developer of the next generation of leaders, higher education has the responsibility to provide graduates with the tools to create a more sustainable world. Presidio will leverage its core competence—our unique educational model—to help guide academic and educational institutions worldwide to adopt our approach. Our vision is that every graduate program will in time integrate sustainability in content and delivery, and that Presidio will be looked to as a leader and mentor in the development of these initiatives.
