EIR participants are seasoned practitioners who bring their wealth of experience, vision, and expertise to the Presidio educational experience. Presidio offers EIR participants access to a robust network of faculty, students, graduates, business and policy leaders, and other sustainability practitioners. Participants are fully integrated into the School—as educators, learners, and ambassadors—to advance innovation through a range of unique opportunities including:

• Identifying, evaluating, and implementing best practices through research and applied-learning projects
• Investigating and developing “living case studies”
• Mentoring and advising graduate students in both group and one-on-one meetings
• Teaching—as a guest lecturer or visiting faculty member—custom curriculum that reflects his/her management/leadership/sustainability expertise
• Networking and collaborating with other executives and experts across sectors
• Sharing stories of success and leadership within the greater sustainable management community
• Generating and incubating new sustainable solutions in relation to business and policy development

The design of the EIR residency is flexible and can be customized to meet the Expert’s area of interest and vision. Terms of service are also flexible and renewable, with experts serving a minimum of one semester.
